Miscellaneous | X | GUIDE FOR NEW STUDENTS Accommodation Offices are located on all the main campuses, offering help and advice on all matters associated with housing for students as well as allocating hall places, collecting rent and advertising private houses, flats and lodgings available in the areas around the campuses. Each campus Accommodation Office takes care of the students based at its particular campus but, because of the number of students living in or near Greenwich some functions are co-ordinated from this location (see the addresses on the next page). In addition to allocating accommodation to first year students, assistance is given to students wishing to move during the academic sessions, to individuals and groups of continuing students looking for somewhere to live and to those with special needs or housing problems. Some University accommodation is available to students continuing on courses after their first year, mostly in the Village at Avery Hill, with only a small number of places reserved in the traditional campus halls. | It is important to register your home and semester-time address with Registry and also to inform them if you move during the academic session. For convenience, all Registry receptions have forms for you to fill out. The Accommodation Service subscribes to the University Student Charter and follows the guidelines laid down within their Regulations and Information Booklet that is issued with every offer of University accommodation.
